バリ島でのコミュニケーションのツボ Vital point of communications in Bali

　今までバリ島の観光スポットをご案内してきましたが、今回はバリ島でのコミュニケーションについてご案内します。
　バリ人同士の一般的な挨拶は、目が合ったら眉毛をピクッと上下させてそれでおしまいです。中にはあごをちょっと突き出すようにする人もいます。もし、バリ人に眉毛をピクッとされたら、同じようにピクッと返してみましょう。
　また、バリ人におみやげをあげても黙って受け取るだけで、がっかりした人もいるでしょう。これは、バリ語には気軽にお礼を述べる「ありがとう」の言葉がないこと（インドネシア語にはあります）や、習慣上、喜怒哀楽の感情を表に出すことは、はしたないと見なされる等の理由によります。
　しかし、心の中では大喜びなので心配しなくても大丈夫です。

　次回はコミュニケーションでのタブーについて紹介します。

アートセンター Art Center

ヤングアーティストを育成するデンパサールの国立芸術大学のすぐ近くに建つアートセンターは、広大な敷地の中に美術館・オープンステージなどが立ち並ぶバリ芸術の殿堂です。
毎年6月頃から1ヶ月間、アートセンターで開催されるバリ・アート・フェスティバルが非常に有名で、国内外からアーティストが訪れます。期間中は毎日日替わりで様々なパフォーマンス・イベントが行われ、バリをあげての一大祭りになります。フェスティバルのない通常の時期でもガムランや合唱の練習が行われ、敷地内を歩くと音楽の調べが聞こえてきます。併設される美術館では、伝統絵画や木彫り、銀細工などバリならではの美術品を観賞できるので、ぜひ訪ねてみましょう。

バリ植物園 Bali botanical garden

　バリの花や木々や咲き乱れる広大な庭園
　バリ植物園は1959年、ジャワ島ボゴールの植物園の分園として創られたもので、ボーヘン山の中腹を丸ごと使ったその広さは129ヘクタールにも及ぶ、バリ最大の植物園です。広大な森の中には、ラン園、薬草園など11ヶ所の庭園が配置されていて、植物園というよりは公園といった感じ。バリの若者たちの人気デートスポットにもなっています。芝生もあるので、お弁当を持っていって、ピクニック気分で楽しむのもオススメです。 植物園内に新しく登場したエコアクティビティ、ツリートップも人気。





Flower, trees in Bali, and vast garden that blooms all over

クンバサリ・ショッピングセンター Kumbasari shopping center

　バドゥン川を挟んで、バドゥン市場の反対側に位置するのがクンバサリ・ショッピングセンターです。バドゥン市場は早朝から活気にあふれていますが、クンバサリの店がオープンするのは９時３０分頃から。４階建ての巨大な建物に中に、雑貨屋・工芸品・アートショップなどの数十の店舗が入っており、ローカル向けの大衆ショッピングセンターといったところです。フリーマーケットのような気分で、色んなお店を覗いたり、冷やかすだけでも楽しめます。価格は付いておらず、すべて交渉制。相場より安く買えるか、高く買わされるかはあなた次第！ただし、英語はあまり通じません。

スカワティ市場 Sukawatei market

スカワティ市場はウブドへ行く手前にあり、南部リゾートからもアクセスの良い場所にあります。この市場の特徴は、ローカル観光客のためのアートマーケット（雑貨、工芸、アクセサリー、洋服など）と、村の人々のための生活市場（食品・お菓子・クバヤなど）が、道を挟んで同じエリアに建てられていること。規模はそれほど大きくありませんが、十分見応えがあります。庶民の生活を覗きたい人にも、バリ土産を安く買いたい人にもぴったり。他の市場同様定価はなく交渉制ですが、外国人観光客がまだ少ないため、ウブド市場と比べると良心的な値段で交渉することができます。周辺のチュルク村やバトゥブラン村と合わせて巡るのがおすすめ。

ププタン記念碑 Puputan

オランダ戦争の歴史を伝える記念碑
ププタン記念碑のププタンは「壮絶な戦い」を意味し、1906年にオランダ軍との最後の抗戦に参加し命を落とした王族や義勇兵の命をねぎらうモニュメントです。スマラプラ王宮（クルタゴザ）の入場料で記念碑にも入ることができ、内部には当時の王族の暮らしぶりやオランダ軍との戦闘の様子がジオラマで展示され、当時を偲ぶことができます。バリの歴史に興味がある方は、デンパサールのププタン広場（戦争によって滅んだかつてのバドゥン王国の王宮前広場）も合わせて訪れてみるといいでしょう。

　鳥をはじめ、さまざまな動物が売られるローカル市場

　空港から車で40分に位置するデンパサールに鳥市場はあります。鳥市場といっても、猿・犬・猫・ウサギ・アヒルなど、様々な動物たちがいるマーケットです。
　動物好きの方にはオススメの鳥市場。珍しい動物などにも出会えるかもしれません。
鳥市場と呼ばれるくらいですから、鳥の数はダントツです。動物が沢山居るので、異臭が少し漂いますが、なんだか楽しい一角であります。

バトゥアン村民家 batuan villager

今回はバリ人の暮らしぶりを見学できる民家を紹介致します。
　バトゥアン村民家は、デンパサールから15kmくらいのところにあります。この民家は、地元の人が普段の生活を送りながら住んでいるところです。バリの中にある民家は、どこでも形が同じです。建物の中の配置がすべて同じです。東側にはお祭りのお供えものを作るための建物、南側には、台所があります。西側にある建物は、親たちの部屋になります。そして北側にある建物は、子どもたちの部屋、または出来たお供え物を置く建物になっています。でも、バリ島のヒンズー教の家には、東北側に家族のお寺があります。このお寺は“家族寺”と呼ばれ、毎日お供え物をし、お祈りをします。この地域はまだ洗濯や、水浴びなどはすべて川で行われています。台所もガスは使われず、薪をくべて火をおこします。お母さんたちは、朝早くからたくさんの料理を作り、それを夜まで1日分の食事として食べます。なので、バリ人の食事の時間は決まっておらず、お腹がすいたときにいつでも食べられるようになっています。

ブランコ・ルネッサンス美術館 Antonio Blanco Museum

　ウブドにあるこのブランコ美術館は、アントニオ・ブランコ氏のアートギャラリーになっています。アントニオ・ブランコ氏本人は、数年前に他界していますが、彼の息子であり、また彼の血を受け継ぎ、アート創作をしているマリオ・ブランコ氏によって運営されています。ブランコ氏の邸宅を改築した洋館テイストのフロアには、バリ島を象徴するレゴンダンスの作品や、彼の孫を描いたものなど、1Ｆ～2Ｆに渡り多く展示されています。この美術館の前にはカフェがありますので、休憩にご利用頂けます。


This swing museum that exists in ubudo is Antonio swing's art gallery. ネカ美術館 neka museum

　美術館といえばここ！バリ絵画の真髄に触れるウブドに美術館はいくつかありますが、その中でももっとも有名なのが、このネカ美術館です。内部は絵の特徴やスタイルの違いによっていくつもの部屋に分かれています。バリ古来の伝統的な絵、ヨーロッパスタイルの影響を受けた絵、影響を与えた外国人の絵、など様々です。
　バリにある絵は3つに分けられます。一つはバリの伝統的な絵で、”カマサンスタイル”と言い、一見してわかると思います。人物の顔が斜めか横向きで、影絵と同じスタイルです。色も黒と白と黄色の3色しかありません。バリで見られる絵と言えば、1930年頃までこのカマサンスタイルの絵ばかりでした。絵の題材はインドから伝わる叙事詩をはじめ、バリの民話や伝説に基づいています。二つ目は、”バトゥアンスタイル”と呼ばれるものです。カマサンスタイルと同じく、遠近法はありませんが、絵そのものが従来よりもずっと細かくなっています。3つ目は、”ウブドスタイル”と呼ばれるもので、オランダ人やドイツ人などヨーロッパ人の影響を受けた絵です。1930年以降になりますと、それまでの平面的な絵から立体的で色彩豊かな絵に変わってきます。題材も人々の生活に基づいた身近なものに広がってきます。鳥・花・人物・風景などがあります。
　ネカ美術館の中に、男の子と女の子が窓枠によりかかって、向き合っている絵があります。これはとても有名で、絵葉書にもなっています。この絵は、もともとは別々の絵ですが、隣に並べて飾ることによってまるでもともと1枚の絵であるかのように見えて、とても素敵です。ネカ美術館に行った際はぜひご覧ください。

The boy and the girl hang to the neka museum with the window frame, and there is an opposite picture. This becomes a picture postcard very famously. This picture seeming is one original picture originally, and is very wonderful according to the array to the next and the decoraton though a separate picture. バリ・バタフライ・パーク bali butterfly park

　バリ・バタフライ・パークはバリ中東部にあり、タバナン市街地から車で15分ほど北上した森の中にあります。ウブドのアユン川渓谷にしか生息しない貴重なクプクプバロン（インドネシア語で“大きな蝶”という意味）や、別名“空を飛ぶ宝石”と言われるトリバネアゲハなど、約60種類の貴重な蝶を観察できます。
　園内は木や花々が生い茂り、植物園のような雰囲気。蝶は園内を自由に舞っているので、お気に入りを探してみましょう。他にも三ッ角カブトムシや巨大クモのタランチュラ、サソリなどの昆虫が飼育されていたり、珍しい虫を手で触ることができたり・・・と、蝶だけでなく昆虫好きにもたまらない公園です。
「ひと通りの観光地は行ったから、珍しいところ行ってみたい」という人にもおすすめ。知る人の少ない穴場スポットです。

バジェラ・サンディ Bajera Sandi

　バリの歴史を学べる記念塔
　
　バジェラ・サンディはデンパサールの東、レノン地区にあります。ここはバリ州の政庁舎や日本領事館など、政府管轄の建物が集まるビジネスエリア。その中で美しいシルエットの塔がひときわ目を引くバジェラ・サンディは、外観は記念塔、内側は歴史博物館という構造になっており、5年前に作られた比較的新しい観光スポットです。
　木々が生い茂る広い公園を通って館内に入ると、古代から現代までの遷り変りがフィギュアで展示されており、バリの歴史に分かりやすく触れることができます。２階には展望室もあり、そこからはデンパサールを一望する素晴らしい眺めを見ることができます！デンパサール観光に来たらぜひ寄ってみてください。

バリ博物館 Bali museum

　バリ博物館はバリ島の州都デンパサールに位置し、ププタン広場の近く、ジャガナタ寺院の隣にあります。ヌサドゥアから車で40分の距離です。４つの建物にバリ島の歴史を感じる作品や儀式で使用していた道具などが展示されています。石でできた棺、古代の農耕具、装飾品、工芸品、かなり昔の石器や青銅器刀や銃。バリのお葬式で使用する品々も展示されています。また、バリの美術品も多く収蔵されており、巨大な壁画や、アンティークの木彫り、羽を生やしたライオンの像、ヒンズー教の神様を形どったアンティークの木彫りなど、細かい細工が施された見事な作品が展示されています。バリ島だけでなく、ジャワ島の歴史にも触れ、ボルブドゥール遺跡の精巧な模型なども展示されている。婚礼衣装は古代と現在の比較が出来、歴史の流れを感じることでしょう。

スマラプラ宮殿（クルタゴザ） Semarapura

　クルタゴサは、デンパサールの北40㎞程の、クルンクン市外地のメインロードの一角にあります。18世紀に建てられたこのオープンエアのパビリオンは、当時王宮の裁判所として使われていました。王宮時代は、バリにある8県のうち、一番中心となっていたのが、このクルンクン県でした。当時使われていた裁判のときの机や椅子が今でもそのまま残っており、伝統的な”ワヤンスタイル”で描かれた精巧な天井画を見ることができます。天井画の下部には地獄に落ちた悪人が処罰を受けている様子、上部には善い行いをして人生を全うした者が天国で褒美を与えられている様子が描かれています。もともとは王家の休憩所として作られたものですが、近くにあったもとの裁判所は柱しかなく、建物がなかったため、後にそのエリアが統一されて、この休憩所を裁判所として利用されるようになりました。同じく敷地内には当時の王宮の博物館があり、歴代の王の名前や写真、当時王が使っていた乗り物などが展示されています。

バリ西部国立公園 Bali west national park

　広大な国立公園で野生動物に触れるインドネシアには現在10の国立公園がありますが、そのひとつがバリにあるんです！バリ島最西部のギリマヌにある西部国立公園は、敷地7万ｈａにもおよぶ広大なもの。そのほとんどが熱帯雨林でおおわれ、鳥、鹿、猿、じゃこう猫などの野生動物が自然のままに生きています。
　ギリマヌ港の4キロ南にあるチェキッに公園の管理事務所があり、そこから車で入場します。移動しながら好きな場所に車を停め、自由に散策することができます。散策用のトレイルがたくさん作られているのでぜひ散策してみましょう。モンスーンの森を1・2時間散策するのもいいですし、元気があれば半日かけてクラタカン山を登る本格トレッキングもおすすめ。また、200種類以上の野鳥が飛び交うバードウォッチングの絶好スポットでもあります。特にバリ島固有種のカンムリシロムクドリ、『ジャラッ・プティ』はぜひ見ておきたい貴重な種類です。

Because a lot of trails for the stroll are made, let's stroll by all means. Strolling in the forest of the monsoon for 1.2 hours is good, and real trekking that climbs the kuratakan mountain putting half a day if there is vigour is recommended. Moreover, it is a splendid spot of the bird watching where more than 200 kinds of wild birds flit. Especially, Bali peculiar kind and Jara Petit' are valuable kinds that I want to see by all means.
