ティルタガンガ Tirta Gangga

　ティルタガンガは、カランアッサム県にあります。1948年に建てられた、西洋と中国、そして伝統的なバリ建築がミックスされたユニークな宮殿です。1963年にアグン山が噴火して、ここも被害に合いましたが、今では少しづつ修復されて見られるようになっています。池には今でも美しい水がたたえられています。南側には、水源のあるタワーと池があり。、中央には人が泳げるプールがあります。北側には静養のための宮殿があり、とても幻想的でキレイな公園のような感じです。またレストランもあるので、絶景を眺めながら素敵な時間を過ごすことができます。

ティルタエンプル Tirta Empul

　ティルタエンプルは聖なる水の湧く寺院として、バリヒンドゥー教を信仰するバリ人にとっては重要な場所。10世紀～14世紀に栄えたワルマデワ王朝の遺跡。タンパクシリンに位置し、この寺の内部には尊い聖水が湧き出る泉があり、この水には病を治癒する力があると信じられており、コケに覆われた石の壁から湧き出す水を求めてたくさんの人々がこの寺院を訪れます。聖なる水は今でも泉の底から砂や小石を巻き上げながら湧き出している。 この聖なる水を引いた沐浴場が隣にあり、心身を清める為に使われたり、祈りを捧げる時に必要な聖水を汲んだりするとても重要な場所。伝説によるとインドラ神が聖水を得るために地面を突き刺して創造したという伝説があります。 水の下にある緑色の藻が、透き通った聖水にエメラルド色を与え、そして外のココナッツの木の緑の葉が水面に映り、とても神秘的に感じられます。また、この寺院には、ヒンドゥー教の三大最高神のひとりであり、「雨を司るインドラ神」より位が上の「水を司る神　ヴィシュヌ神」が祀られています。

クヘン寺院 Kehen temple

　南部エリアから車で2時間のバンリは昔ながらの文化が息づく山あいの村。バトゥール山のふもとにあり標高も高めなので、気候の良い町としても知られています。クヘン寺院はバンリ最大の見所で、11世紀に建立され、バンリ王朝時代には国寺とされていた格調高い寺院。到着したらまずは階段の見事な石彫りに目を奪われるでしょう。階段を登りきった先は外境、中境、奥境の3段に分かれており、ヒンドゥー3大神の彫り込まれた仏塔や、壁に埋め込まれた中国陶器、11層のメルなど見所がたくさんあります。

ウルンダヌブラタン寺院 ulundanu temple

　デンパサールから約60キロメートルのところに位置するバリ島中部の山間部には、涼しい気候と素晴らしい景色で有名なブドゥグル地方があります。その高原にある、こブラタンという湖にウルンダヌブラタン寺院はあります。ウルンダヌブラタンの意味は、ウルは手前、ダヌは湖、そしてブラタンは名前なので、ブラタン湖の手前にあるお寺ということになります。 この寺院は1633年にメングィ王によって建立されました。この寺院に祀られているのは、Dwi danu(ドゥィ　ダヌ)と言う湖の女神。一年に一度、雨季のときに湖の水面が上がり、寺院の中にまで水が入ってきます。これは湖が女神のために、寺院を清めるのだと信じられています。このプランタン湖は、涼しい山の空気と美しい湖の風景を堪能することができ、バリの人々の避暑地として人気の高い名所です。

タートルアイランド Turtle island

　アルマ美術館(アグン・ライ・ミュージーアム・オブ・アート)は、1996年6月9日、教育文化相ワルディマン・ジョジョネゴロ氏によって公式にオープンしました。それに先立つ同年5月13日に設立されたアルマ財団が、美術館の運営を行っています。アルマは単なる美術館を超えた、ビジュアルアートと、パフォーマンスアートの拠点となっています。絵画の常設展、特別展、演劇、舞踊、音楽、また絵画教室、ワークショップの企画、図書室、会議やセミナーの施設など、訪れる人が享受できるあらゆる機会を提供しています。アルマ財団所蔵、アグン・ライ夫妻所蔵品から、バイ・インドネシアの画家、海外アーティストの作品が常設されており、伝統からコンテンポラリーまで幅広い分野の芸術を鑑賞できます。また、同敷地内のアルマ・オープンステージでは、土曜日・日曜日・新月と満月にダンスパフォーマンスが行われます。特に新月と満月のみに公演されるケチャックダンスは迫力がありおすすめです。
