バリ西部国立公園 Bali west national park

　広大な国立公園で野生動物に触れるインドネシアには現在10の国立公園がありますが、そのひとつがバリにあるんです！バリ島最西部のギリマヌにある西部国立公園は、敷地7万ｈａにもおよぶ広大なもの。そのほとんどが熱帯雨林でおおわれ、鳥、鹿、猿、じゃこう猫などの野生動物が自然のままに生きています。
　ギリマヌ港の4キロ南にあるチェキッに公園の管理事務所があり、そこから車で入場します。移動しながら好きな場所に車を停め、自由に散策することができます。散策用のトレイルがたくさん作られているのでぜひ散策してみましょう。モンスーンの森を1・2時間散策するのもいいですし、元気があれば半日かけてクラタカン山を登る本格トレッキングもおすすめ。また、200種類以上の野鳥が飛び交うバードウォッチングの絶好スポットでもあります。特にバリ島固有種のカンムリシロムクドリ、『ジャラッ・プティ』はぜひ見ておきたい貴重な種類です。
