ネカ美術館 neka museum

　美術館といえばここ！バリ絵画の真髄に触れるウブドに美術館はいくつかありますが、その中でももっとも有名なのが、このネカ美術館です。内部は絵の特徴やスタイルの違いによっていくつもの部屋に分かれています。バリ古来の伝統的な絵、ヨーロッパスタイルの影響を受けた絵、影響を与えた外国人の絵、など様々です。
　バリにある絵は3つに分けられます。一つはバリの伝統的な絵で、”カマサンスタイル”と言い、一見してわかると思います。人物の顔が斜めか横向きで、影絵と同じスタイルです。色も黒と白と黄色の3色しかありません。バリで見られる絵と言えば、1930年頃までこのカマサンスタイルの絵ばかりでした。絵の題材はインドから伝わる叙事詩をはじめ、バリの民話や伝説に基づいています。二つ目は、”バトゥアンスタイル”と呼ばれるものです。カマサンスタイルと同じく、遠近法はありませんが、絵そのものが従来よりもずっと細かくなっています。3つ目は、”ウブドスタイル”と呼ばれるもので、オランダ人やドイツ人などヨーロッパ人の影響を受けた絵です。1930年以降になりますと、それまでの平面的な絵から立体的で色彩豊かな絵に変わってきます。題材も人々の生活に基づいた身近なものに広がってきます。鳥・花・人物・風景などがあります。
　ネカ美術館の中に、男の子と女の子が窓枠によりかかって、向き合っている絵があります。これはとても有名で、絵葉書にもなっています。この絵は、もともとは別々の絵ですが、隣に並べて飾ることによってまるでもともと1枚の絵であるかのように見えて、とても素敵です。ネカ美術館に行った際はぜひご覧ください。

The boy and the girl hang to the neka museum with the window frame, and there is an opposite picture. This becomes a picture postcard very famously.
