ウルンダヌブラタン寺院 ulundanu temple

　デンパサールから約60キロメートルのところに位置するバリ島中部の山間部には、涼しい気候と素晴らしい景色で有名なブドゥグル地方があります。その高原にある、こブラタンという湖にウルンダヌブラタン寺院はあります。ウルンダヌブラタンの意味は、ウルは手前、ダヌは湖、そしてブラタンは名前なので、ブラタン湖の手前にあるお寺ということになります。 この寺院は1633年にメングィ王によって建立されました。この寺院に祀られているのは、Dwi danu(ドゥィ　ダヌ)と言う湖の女神。一年に一度、雨季のときに湖の水面が上がり、寺院の中にまで水が入ってきます。これは湖が女神のために、寺院を清めるのだと信じられています。このプランタン湖は、涼しい山の空気と美しい湖の風景を堪能することができ、バリの人々の避暑地として人気の高い名所です。
