車のナンバープレート Car license plate

　バリ島で目にする車やバイクのナンバープレートの多くは「ＤＫ　1234　○○（アルファベット）」となっています。頭のアルファベット「ＤＫ」は、バリ島内登録を表します。それ以外の表記の車はジャワ島などの他の島からやってきたという意味で、気をつけて街中を走っていると結構「バリ島以外」を見付けることが出来ます。そして、末尾のアルファベット２つの意味はバリ島内での地域の区切りを表します。
　中の数字列にもこだわりがあるらしく、「ＤＫ　130　ＳＳ」　だと、１３０をＢＯと読ませて、次のＳＳとくっつけ「ＢＯＳＳ」とする人が居たり、アルファベット使用国ならではのようです。
　他にもプレートそのものが赤いのは政府の車でナンバーに小さいアルミ正方がくっついているのは観光業の認可を取るなど、客輸送を目的とした車なってます。
　旅行中に意識して見るとまた一段と楽しくなってくると思います。
